Mercy Health Community Transport is here to help older people in our community stay connected, independent, and active. Whether it is a trip to the doctor, a visit with friends or family, a day out shopping, or joining one of our social community bus outings, we are ready to get you there safely and comfortably.
We proudly support older adults and carers who may find transport challenging. If you live in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, we are just a phone call away.
We offer door-to-door transport services to places such as:
- doctor or specialist appointments (including Allied Health)
- shopping centres and local stores
- social outings and group activities
- hospital visits
- visits to family or friends
- other destinations — you need just ask.
To help us serve you best, we recommend booking as early as possible. The more notice you give, the more likely we will be able to accommodate your preferred time and destination.
Our transport service operates Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), between 7.30am and 4.00pm. Availability may vary depending on the trip’s origin and destination. Some of our buses are equipped with wheelchair accessibility and a hoist lifter.
If you are a member of the Newcastle or Lake Macquarie communities and need help with transport, give us a call on 1300 478 776.
