The Department of Health and Ageing recently held a question and answer webinar as part of the consultation on the draft of the new Aged Care Act.

The webinar gave attendees the opportunity to join a panel of experts from the Department and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and ask questions about the draft Act and how to participate in the consultation.

If you were not able to attend this webinar you can find a recording here.

As part of the consultation the Department is also running a series of 4-hour in-person workshops around Australia until 14 February 2024.

We encourage you to attend a workshop near you and provide your feedback on the draft law. Every older Australian, their family members and carers must have their say to ensure we get the most out of the new Act.

There is no cost to attend a workshop. You can access the schedule of workshops and register to attend today.
