A registered NDIS provider, Mercy Health has the experience and expertise to support young Australians living in residential aged care to live the life they want.
Everyone’s needs are different. As a registered NDIS provider we know how important it is for younger people with a disability to continue living an active, independent and meaningful life ― whether they are living at home or in residential aged care.
Currently, there are more than 6,000 young Australians with disabilities living in aged care. The support they require may range from assistance with everyday activities such as getting ready for the day, staying connected with family and friends, or attending a community event outside of the residential home.
Whatever their needs, Mercy Health Home Care Services has the experience and expertise to support younger people living in residential aged care and to help them live the best life possible. Our staff are experienced and highly trained, ensuring people with a disability are well supported to live the life they want, the way they like it. The choice and control remains theirs.
Our support services include but are not limited to:
- assistance with using a computer
- assistance to connect with family and friends
- transport to community activities outside of the residential home (for example going to a footy game or to the movies)
- assistance with specialised personal care routines (such as getting ready for the day or grooming).
We also know how challenging and confusing it can sometimes be for people to navigate the NDIS. Our friendly and professional staff are able to help you and your client to access the NDIS and guide you through the process.
