In October 2022, the Department of Health and Aged Care released the discussion paper — A new program for in-home aged care, calling for submissions from older people, carers, family, interested Australians and service providers.
In total, over 900 stakeholders attended one of the virtual question and answer information sessions and over 520 submissions were received by 1 December 2022.
On 8 December 2022, the Department hosted a public webinar to share the feedback it received during the submission process and outline next steps for the reforms. You can find a recording of the webinar, the slides used and a captioned version on the Department’s website.
A summarised version of the discussion paper is also available here.
