The Australian Department of Health and Ageing has announced that public consultation on the draft new Aged Care Act has been extended.

The consultation started on 14 December 2023. To date, the Department has heard that many people wanted more time to review the draft Act and provide feedback.

The Department wants to ensure that people have every opportunity to have their say on this important change to Australia’s aged care system.

As such, the consultation is being extended to Friday 8 March 2024.

Get involved through the online survey, email or letter submission, workshop, or by calling 1800 318 209.
